INFORMATION ABOUT EMERGENCY RELOCATION
WHAT IS A LINEN PACKAGE?
Easy Housing provides duvet and pillow sets, bed linens, and towels. Linen packages must be purchased separately.
DO I HAVE TO CHANGE MY ADDRESS WHEN I AM RELOCATED?
No. You don't have to change your address while you're in temporary housing. But you're welcome to do so if you need to.
CAN I APPLY FOR A PARKING PERMIT WHILE I'M BEING RELOCATED?
Yes. If you plan to park on the street, it is important that you familiarize yourself with the parking regulations in effect for the area. If you are being rehoused in the City of Copenhagen, you must apply for a resident parking permit from the Center for Parking; in the Municipality of Frederiksberg, you must apply to the Department of City, Housing, and Environment. Some residences have designated parking spaces.
CAN I RECEIVE HOME CARE SERVICES AT MY TEMPORARY HOUSING?
Yes, in most cases. If you are temporarily rehoused in your municipality of residence, you can expect the home care services to be the same in the temporary housing as in your own home. However, if you move to a residence in another municipality, there may be differences in the types of assistance available. Municipalities generally cooperate well across municipal boundaries.
CAN I GET DISABILITY TRANSPORT TO AND FROM THE NEW ADDRESS?
Yes. You should contact your service provider—such as Falck, Flextrafik, etc. In our experience, transportation services for people with disabilities are flexible when it comes to temporary housing arrangements.
HOW DO I GET MAIL?
You can have your mail and packages sent to your temporary housing if you use the temporary housing address as a C/O address.
CAN MY CHILD CONTINUE IN THEIR CHILDCARE AND SCHOOL DURING OUR RELOCATION?
Yes. If you are temporarily relocated to another municipality, your child can continue attending the same school or daycare center.
WHEN SHOULD I MOVE?
We know that there is often uncertainty about when your own home is repaired and when you can move back home. All you need to do is let us know 14 days before you vacate the temporary accommodation.
DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE TEMPORARY HOUSING MYSELF?
No. In the vast majority of cases, your insurance company will pay for your temporary housing. We settle the rent directly with your insurance company. That is why it is also important that your insurance company approve your temporary housing before a final lease agreement is signed.
INFORMATION ABOUT EXPAT HOUSING
WHO WILL PAY THE RENT?
The company is the tenant of the accommodation and responsible for paying the rent.
WHAT HOME EQUIPMENT SHOULD MY EMPLOYEE BRING?
In addition to furniture and household furnishings, your employee can expect to find a duvet and pillow set, bed linens, and towels upon arrival. There will also be an Easy Housing Basic Kit containing toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher tablets, and more, so your employee can get off to a good start in their new life in Denmark. Please note that the contents of the Easy Housing Basis Kit are subject to change.
HOW DO I GIVE MY EXPAT EMPLOYEE THE KEY IF, FOR EXAMPLE, THEY ARRIVE AT NIGHT?
We can arrange a face-to-face meeting, but there are also more flexible options if your employee arrives outside our opening hours.
FIXTURES AND FITTINGS IN OUR HOMES
IS A TV PACKAGE INCLUDED IN THE ACCOMMODATION?
Uh, no. There is no TV package. But there is a smart TV, Wi-Fi and free Google TV and Chromecast on loan. Simply log in to your streaming services when you arrive.
DO I NEED TO BUY MY OWN FURNITURE AND KITCHEN EQUIPMENT?
Our apartments are fully furnished and include the most basic kitchen supplies.
When you move in, you will receive an Easy Housing Basic Kit containing toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher tablets, and more. Please note that the contents of the Easy Housing Basic Kit are subject to change.
IS THERE INTERNET ACCESS?
Yes, it is. All homes are equipped with the fastest possible internet connection. Simply log in when you move in.
CHANGING YOUR HOUSING ACCOMMODATION
CAN I HANG PICTURES AND OTHER THINGS ON THE WALLS?
No, you are not allowed to change the lease.
CAN I MOVE THE FURNITURE AROUND?
Yes. You can arrange the space however you like, as long as you take care of our furnishings. However, furniture that is secured to the floor, walls, or ceiling may not be moved.
CAN I BRING MY OWN THINGS TO THE ACCOMMODATION?
Yes. Of course, you’re welcome to bring and add personal items to the temporary housing so that your stay there is a positive experience. Just be sure to take your belongings with you when you move back into your own home.
